The Inspiration

The violent earthquake in 2008 destroyed many temples, leaving those long-time worshiped statues of gods toppled down among ruins. The mighty power of Mother Nature prevailed over human strength, a contrast so obvious that human beings seemed utterly powerless.

Nevertheless, we once again found our way out from the devastating natural disaster, for human beings have always been able to get along with the Mother Nature for better or for worse. Take a look! Those statues of godly idols carved by human hands with admiration and inspiration, even when swept down by irreversible natural disaster, still displayed great tranquility. Vairagya, the supernatural internal power, taught human beings that dignity will be, and can be held on to with grace and beauty, even at the end of life.
